In January of 2026, the Marin County Specialized Investigative Unit became aware of a package, which was intended to be shipped to a residence in Novato containing 400 tablets of Tapentadol, a schedule two controlled substance similar to oxycodone. On January 20th, SIU detectives executed a search warrant at the Novato residence and made contact with Carolyn Connor (Age 71 Novato) at the front door.
